LG-GRIND LATHE TOOL REST SHARPENING SYSTEM KIT

The Chisel Grinding Tool Rest provides a solid, easy to use work surface to sharpen your woodworking tools on lathe directly. 

Works with 150mm (6") or 200mm (8") CBN Wheels on lathe directly.

1) Adapter Mandrel for Mounting CBN Wheel to Wood Lathe with different threads available such as 1"x8TPI, 1-1/4"x8TPI,M33x3.5 etc 

2) Tool rest stand (included 1"+ 5/8" rods) with the 12mm diameter Support Bar , you can use many of the Tormek Jigs to 

produce a honed edge on most types of tools, quickly and easily.

4) Skew/Gouge grinding guide for skew chisels and gouges with 12mm diameter. 

If you sharpen a lot of skew chisels and gouges with CBN and need a simple guide to speed up the process then this jig 

will help out. It squares itself comfortably in the groove of the CT-CGJ-T and has two 70° guides to quickly grind skew chisel 

edges. It can easily accommodate even the largest width 32mm skew chisels comfortably. The central V-shaped section is 

perfect as a base to comfortably roll gouges to grind their edge evenly on your bench grinder.The jig is produced from cast 

Aluminium and measures a generous 125 x 75mm overall.

The HeliGrind is a versatile jig that is fixed in front of your CBN Wheels and has several attachments to simplify and make 

more accurate sharpening grinds of a range of different tools.  The HeliGrind Sharpening System is the only jig on the market

that will sharpen gouges on the helical path – the ideal way to sharpen all your woodturning gouges. This type of grind is 

known as either a fingernail or sidegrind and is recommended but virtually impossible to grind accurately freehand.

inner cylinder that can be easily rotated via a fully-sealed guide bearing seated against the outer solid, cast bronze holder. 

This patented system was designed to follow the correct path for producing the best type of grind on your gouges.

Works on all gouges 6 - 16mm wide. Sharpens on the helical path every time. lf-jigging design for faster set-up.

The nose of the gouge is pushed up the wheel along the helical path to produce the optimum shape without having to 

constantly reset the jig as you grind the wheel down. It produces hollow ground edges, which provides a superb two-point 

bearing that makes the grinding self-jigging. It means that every time you re-grind, you remove a tiny and constant thickness

of steel, extending the life of both your tools and grinding wheels. It also means that the geometry of the tip won't change,

 allowing your tools to display the same properties every time you use them.
