Extension bed could be mounted on three places for increasing turning capabilities:

1.       Use the headstock's outboard threaded spindle to add 4”of extra turning diameter capacity.

2.       The right bed end of the lathe is machined to attach the extension bed for increasing the working distance from 21" to 34.5" for spindle turning.

3.       Mounted on bed front gives great access to turning bowl or platter edges and back surfaces.
